Re: Oil and Gas Modeling
From:I was trying to enter into IB with no previous financial modeling education and I wanted to learn how to actually build a financial model of an O&G company. Other IB professionals in my local CFA society took this course as well, so I signed up.
The course is excellent. Wall Street Prep showed me how a model is actually built in Excel while the CFA was a good theoretical complement to some of the accounting choices done in the model.
The books are elegantly presented and I will keep them at hand in my new job. I got hired as a FT IB analyst after completing my BSc and with no previous financial experience. This course + the CFA were an excellent combination which prepared me well for interviews!

I’m very pleased with the amount of detail and practical examples covered in the course. I can more confidently explain in simple terms both the key drivers and takeaways from financial models. I also have become somewhat a subject matter expert among my peers 🙂
Re: Accounting Crash Course
From:I’m sort of an atypical financial executive in that my training is in medicine, and I achieved a leadership role in my shop via a different route than the normal B-school to analyst to director pathway. I’m something of a self-starter, but I felt that I needed a more complete understanding of business accounting, so this was perfect for me.
My main goal was to speak the accounting language at the very least, and at best be more proficient in assisting my accounting team in compiling our books and assessing those of our investment partners.
I loved this course. It was so perfect for what I needed. I’ve already passed you off to the executive development team at my organization to use for their curriculum building.
It certainly helped me shore up my understanding in this blind spot of my knowledge, and made me a more effective decision maker and probably a less dangerous employee!

From:I bought this course to get a comprehensive refresher on FIC topics. I’m three years into my career as a Legal Entity Analyst at a bulge bracket bank, and recently accepted a job within the US Rates Risk and P&L space.
The course has been great. I’d recommend it to any user who wants to refresh on FIC topics. The course is helping me beat the learning curve as I transition into a new role at my firm.

I enrolled in the Premium Package because I was taught financial statement analysis by a CFA who did a great job of explaining the concepts, but not so much the models.
If I would have known what I know now from this course about building models, I would have gotten so much more out of that class!
